Loading & Securing NVQ Level 2 - CONSTRUCTION PLANT NVQs

Course

Overview

Plant loader securer is a term used in plant haulage. It covers delivery drivers who operate plant equipment used to load on to delivery vehicles. In addition, it can be used for operatives who are responsible for securing the plant using various securing equipment. Unsafe loads on vehicles injure more than 1,100 people a year and cost UK businesses millions of pounds in damaged goods. There has been an increasing number of accidents involving mobile plant during loading/unloading operations or during transportation resulting in a number of fatalities.

This NVQ level 2 qualification enables candidates to demonstrate skills, knowledge, understanding and competence in a real workplace environment so they can work as a Loader Securer Operator within the construction industry. Construct Training Services will assign an assessor to the candidate, and they will arrange to assess this NVQ over two on-site assessments while the candidate is carrying out their day-to-day duties as a Loader Securer.

The candidates assigned assessor works with them to gather evidence in the form of written questions, observations, photographs, videos, method statements and professional discussions to take forward for verification in a documented portfolio format.
